There are so many conflicts at the moment, of course l see that Russia is acting in its own interests, eventhough there is a difference from doing that and being russiophobic.

Wherever genocide is being committed and wherever the 'great' powers are implicated, this needs to be known and condemned in the strongest terms.

Thank you Fiorella and your esteemed guest Ehsan Safarnejad for your insights and analysis. I found this from your transcript to be very pertinent:

"The reality is that neither the U.S. nor Israel is likely to honor any long-term truce. Ehsan urged patience, comparing the current moment to past tactical retreats by Hezbollah that were later vindicated. Again a reminder to our audience that for those living under the threat of bombs, these are not games but daily realities. “Most Americans (and for that matter Europeans) could not last one hour, with what people abroad (in West Asia/Middle East) endure.”

Thanks to Ehsan and yourself for this nuanced perspective.

The transactional relationship Russia and China have with Israel continues to be a disappointment for me. Still so little solidarity against the greatest threats to humanity while the world continues to burn.
